For those who are new to escape rooms, they will want to learn a little bit about them before arriving to play the game.
The first step is to decide who is going to be in the group that is going to enjoy this form of entertainment. This is a team game, so those who are going to play will want to be in a group. Each particular escape room will have the rules as to how many can participate in one of the games. These can be small such as a group of four or larger.
Once arriving, the game rules will be given, and the team leader should now start to design a plan of action as to how they are going to beat this challenge.
When first entering the room, players should search it all the way through to start gathering the clues and the puzzles that they are going to have to solve.
The whole point is not to waste any time, as this is a time-based game. Everybody should be moving and yelling out what they are finding.
Then, a few minutes should be taken for everybody to put their thoughts together for what they have gathered. Now they can ponder over this and start solving any of the clues that they are having difficulty with.
Tips or Clues
Some of the rooms can be very difficult, and it can get frustrating for the game players. Most of the escape rooms will allow for tips to be given without penalty.
The first time playing the game may not be as successful as the group would like. This is because it is a new adventure. As the activities continue and the groups get together more often to enjoy the escape rooms, they will start to develop more strategies.
